Description:
This module will:
- Provide me with a theoretical underpinning for the development of practice work
- Enable me to consider a range of theoretical issues and debates in photography delivered through a series of seminars reflecting upon critical developments in the medium
- Introduce me to several key theoretical texts that have contributed to contemporary debate in the field of contemporary photography
- Provide a range of conceptual tools that will enable my practice work to become securely embedded within that field

- Introduce me to key debates underpinning contemporary photographic practice
- Enable my development of critical and analytical skills in the reading of academic texts
- Support my development of academic writing skills
