The first unit that I tackled for the MA Photography focused on Contemporary Debates. The purpose of the module was to give me and my fellow students a grounding in the key historical and contemporary theory related to contemporary photographic practice. The following is the module brief:

Assessment Task 1:
I will submit a written essay in English produced in an appropriate form, including the following elements:
- Circa 4,000 words
- 11-12 legible font size
- 1.5 line spacing
- Regular use of quotation
- Regular use of in-text citation or footnoting
- Illustrated
